1. I'm on the wards this month. I was dreading it after my horrific month in the PICU in January, but it has been going fairly well. I have a fabulous team and a seriously hilarious intern, Andrea. "please enjoy the music while you wait...." Today she performed an interpretive dance while we did checkout....she's just a little crazy!
2. We are well into the season of Lent, and shockingly I have given up diet coke. Seriously. I haven't had any diet coke since 2/8/08. I'm honestly hoping this is a permanent change for me. Free soft drinks at the hospital can get a little excessive. I have been drinking a lot more unsweet tea but I think that is an improvement.
Equally, Patrick has given up fried foods AND hamburgers. He's doing great with this as well. This would not be difficult for me, but his favorite mary-is-on-call splurge (publix fried chicken) is now off limits.
3. I am currently recovering from a brief bout with pneumonia. Coughing up bloody stuff on call is not fun I would like to say, but I am on some good antibiotics and Mucinex and recovering. Thanks, child who shared your Strep Pneumo with me. This has put a little snag in my running program, but I'll be back on track after this weekend's call.
That's about all for now. I'll try to update a little more often!

Downtown Greenville
These are slightly delayed pictures, but better late than never!!!! Patrick's mom visited a few weekends ago and we had a fun but short visit.
Friday night we enjoyed dinner together at City Range and then Saturday we had a downtown adventure....
Falls Park on the Reedy
The Westin Poinsett- we need to stay here one time!
Great view of the water before the falls
Neato tree at the Governor's School
Some new condos and art galleries
i've scoped out other people's weddings before from across the river
As you can seen from these pictures, If you haven't been to Greenville's downtown, you really need to visit!
So, we had a great afternoon downtown, had a very long hike from downtown to Cleveland Park and then had a fun lunch at Barley's Taproom, which I highly recommend. Then of course I went home and rested for my next day of working in the nursery with many, many screaming newborns.
